WISDOM type K Introduction:
WISDOM supply Type K in both thermocouple wire, and extension/compensation in both solid and stranded constructions
NiCr-NiSi (Type K) thermocouple finds the widest use in all basemetal thermocouple, at temperature above 500 ºC.Type K thermocouple has strong resistance to oxidation than other base metal thermocouples. It has high EMF against Platinum , excellent temperature accuracy, sensitivity and stability, with a low cost. It is recommended for oxidizing or inert atmospheres.
Type K chemical composition:
positive leg NiCr (KP) are Ni≈90% and Cr≈10%; negative leg NiSi (KN) are Ni≈97% and Cr≈3%.
Type K Temperature Range:
· Thermocouple grade wire, -200~1300ºC(for short term) and 0~1100ºC( for long term)
· Extension wire, 32 to 392F (0 to 200C)
Type K Accuracy :
· Standard: +/- 2.2C or +/- .75%
